Forests, hillsides, valleys and waterways intermingle to form the magical place<\/b> that is the Montagne de Reims Regional Nature Park. Rich in sand, chalk, limestone and clay as well as fossils, the park is a true witness to the different climates<\/b> that occupied the area centuries ago.<\/p>\n

The Park was classified in 1976 as a “Regional Natural Park” and, after the Forest of Orient, it is the second natural park in the Champagne-Ardenne region. It includes a total of 65 municipalities <\/b>and extends from the Vesle valley in the north to the Marne valley in the south. This real green lung of the region<\/b> is surrounded by three gateway cities: Reims, Epernay and Ch\u00e2lons-en-Champagne.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

It is a quiet river<\/strong> that winds through the mountain and its park: the Tardenois of the Ardre Valley! The Marne Valley takes its name from the river that runs through it, and is located in the south of the Park. It was she who shaped this beautiful landscape, dominated by a dense forest<\/b>. Gradually, the vineyards give way to large plains, bordered by villages with exceptional views<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Finally, the hillsides of the Montagne de Reims adorn the panoramas of our region. They are located to the east and then to the north of the park and are differentiated by their characteristic reliefs.<\/p>\n

In addition to being a true natural heritage<\/b>, with the omnipresence of water and nature, the Park is also a cultural heritage! Very singular, its history is linked to that of men and to world history: it was a place invaded, destroyed and rebuilt, marked by the Gallo-Roman period, the Middle Ages as well as wars. This heritage can be seen in the rural architecture in the villages of the Montagne de Reims, adjacent to the Park, the vineyard lodges built in brick or among the many military cemeteries also present, and witnesses of the Great War.<\/p>\n

Located in the Ardre Valley, in Pourcy, the Maison du Parc is there to welcome you and advise you in your quest for discovery. This place is both the headquarters of the technical team and a tourist information space. It is also a meeting place, as much for the visitors as for the inhabitants!<\/p>\n
