On this site, which has been classified as a natural monument since 1934, visitors can admire the historic hillsides, the C\u00f4te des Blancs, the city center of Epernay and the Ch\u00e2lonnais plain. It culminates at 208 meters of altitude!<\/b><\/h3>\n

Mont Bernon is a space for relaxation and walking. Culminating at 208 m, it will offer you a 360\u00b0 panorama on the wine territory and on the urban and rural landscapes shaped by the champagne activity.<\/p>\n

At the end of about sixty wooden steps, the Pierre Cheval belvedere invites you to contemplate with, among other things, a view of the Avenue de Champagne d’Epernay and the historic hillsides of Hautvillers to Mareuil-sur-A\u00ff inscribed by UNESCO on the World Heritage List. A sort of “Walk of Fame” in Mesniloise, the Saint-Vincent square pays tribute to the stars of the village: its winegrowers. <\/span><\/p>\n

Located in the heart of the old Mesnil, it is a vines garden with a large tasting table offering an unobstructed view of the Clos du Mesnil, a parcel of land very popular with champagne lovers, owned by Champagne Krug. <\/span>On the floor, engraved stainless steel hands represent 45 winemakers of the village and the House of Krug as a merchant. <\/span><\/p>\n

This is quite symbolic when you consider the importance of manual labor in the production of champagne: 500 hours per hectare!<\/p>\n

This panoramic viewpoint, built in 2011, invites you to contemplate a bird’s eye view of the vineyard, at the crossroads of the C\u00f4te des Blancs, the Montagne de Reims and the Vall\u00e9e de la Marne. A vines lodge<\/b> has been rebuilt to bear witness to these vernacular constructions that once dotted the vineyard and are now disappearing.<\/h3>\n

Here, the vineyard is the garden… as far as the eye can see! <\/span><\/p>\n

From the panoramic viewpoint, time seems to be suspended: a bird’s eye view of the vineyard and its villages, the work of the men and the evolution of the vineyard over the seasons. <\/span><\/p>\n

Panels, an orientation table and a telescope allow to decipher the different aspects of the landscape and the wine culture and to refine the visual apprehension of the territory.<\/p>\n

Water is everywhere on the site, but in summer it is discreet… No wonder: a wetland is not necessarily flooded or waterlogged all year round!
